Michael began studying the viola at the age of 12 under the Candon City Music Program and was one of the pioneering members of the then newly organized Candon City Chamber Orchestra. Among his first teachers were Crisancti Macazo and Jorge Joy Sababan. He studied with Joy Allan Dela Cruz at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music and was a member of the UST Symphony Orchestra. Michael is currently taking lessons with Maurice Ivan Saraza.
Michael joined the Manila Symphony Orchestra in 2018 and has performed in its various concerts and tours including its first international concert tour in the 5th Hunhe River Bank Symphonic Festival and the Belt and Road Symphony Concert with the Shenyang Symphony Orchestra in Shenyang, China last 2019. Michael has also performed in Hiroshima, Japan with the UST Symphony Orchestra upon the invitation of Katsutoshi Moriyama and the Elisabeth University of Music in 2018.
Michael currently teaches violin and viola with the Candon City Music Program.
