Kenneth Laron 

Strings | Cello

Kenneth has been a cellist of the Manila Symphony Orchestra since 2013 and has performed with the MSO in its gala concerts, Visayas Tour, Candon Music Festival, outreach concerts, and in MSO’s first international concert tour in 2019, the 5th Hunhe River Bank Symphony Art Festival held  at the Grand Shengjing Theater , Shenyang, China.  Kenneth is also a member of the internationally awarded Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra (MSJO) since 2014 who won  1st Place in 2018 and 2nd Place in 2017 in the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival held at the Musikverein in Vienna, Austria.  He also performed in Korea with the MSJO for the Suzuki  Music Korea Summer Music Festival in 2019. His chamber group, The Bard Trio, was the 1st Place National Winner in Chamber Music Category in the National Music Competitions for young Artists (NAMCYA) in 2019.

Kenneth graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with cello principal from St. Scholastica’s College Manila. He went under the tutelage of Prof. Arnold Josue and Prof. Antonin Inacay.  Kenneth also took Masterclasses by Victor Coo, Kimberly Patterson, Richard Bamping, Ray Wang, Klaus Kanngeisser, Matias de Oliveira Pinto and Yeonjin Kim.

Kenneth is a licensed teacher and is currently a cello instructor at the MSO Music Academy.  He has completed  Summer Teachers Training in Korea (2019) by the Korea Suzuki Association, Suzuki Teachers Training (2017) by the Philippine Suzuki Association, Indigenous Music Instruments Workshop by Ms. Renne Camu and Kodaly Workshop by Mrs. Mirandilla Ng.
